The approach (Gypsy Cafe): the cafe's newsletters drilled into the progressive community's concerns and interests ranging from local news and worldwide events to the arts in their own backyard.
Eleven years of weekly newsletters contributed to the success of the popular cafe. Although the cafe threw in the towel at the end of 2022, the faithful continue to follow the creative and business paths of its legendary owner and crew. Over 2000 remain on the list with open rates in the high 40s.

The crescent moon was up early. Paolo had eaten dinner with it. Now that it was gone, the farmer was alone, restless, unable to sleep in his aging cottage tucked under the elephantine oak. Summer nights often found him falling asleep outside in the hammock counting stars through the branches but on that night he walked over to the big house to make coffee and quietly settle into a broken Adirondack he had built in woodshop years ago.
